Prof. Sissi Closs
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Sissi Closs has been a Professor for Information- and Media Techniques since 1997. She established and led the masters programme Communication and Media Management for several years and engaged in multiple expert committees as well as the worlds´ largest professional association for technical communication. She teaches Introduction to Information Architecture in the module Communication and Media II.
Dr. Elizabeth Jumwa Munyaya
Pawni University, Kenya
Elizabeth Jumwa Munyaya is a Lecturer at Pwani University at the faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, teaching Communicational Competences and English. She is a member of the faculty for Philosophy at the University of Nairobi, Campus Mombasa, where she teaches communication courses. Within the Special Courses she teaches English for Communication.
Dr. Yvonne Cleary
University of Limerick, Ireland
Yvonne Cleary is a Senior Lecturer in Technical Communication and Instructional Design at the University of Limerick, Ireland where she serves as Head of English, Irish and Communication. She teaches modules in Technical Communication Theory and Practice, Writing and E-Learning. Her research interests include professional issues in Technical Communication, Virtual Teams and International Technical Communication. She teaches in the module Communication and Media II.
Prof. Kerstin Alexander
University of Applied Sciences Merseburg, Germany
Kerstin Alexander is a Professor of Technical Illustration and Graphic Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Merseburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. She is the academic advisor in the masters study programme Information Design and Media Management and chair of the examination board for the masters programme Information Design and Media Management. She teaches Visual Design in the module German for Communication.
Prof. Yakobo J. K. Mutiti
Pwani University, Kenya
Yakobo Mutiti is a Professor with a significant experience in teaching and research, especially in the fields of Linguistics, Discourse and Communication Studies. Until 2019, he was the Dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences at Pwani University. As scholar and administrator, he has performed different functions, including Programme Director, Visiting Research Fellow as well as Visiting Professor at various Universities in the USA. In the MCM programme, he teaches General Communication dynamics in the module German for Communication.
Dr. Rukiya Harith Swaleh
Pwani University, Kenya
Rukiya Swaleh is a Lecturer at Pwani University in the department of Language, Linguistics and Literature. She teaches linguistics in Kiswahili and supervises masters and PhD students in Kiswahili. In the module of special courses of Communication and Media she teaches Kiswahili for Communication.
Belinda Oechsler
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Belinda Oechsler is a Communication and Media Management Graduate and an Academic Assistant, involved in several collaboration projects with the Pwani University, Kenya. Her department and speciality is communication and visualisation and she teaches Comprehensible Writing in the module German for Communication.
Farina Ebel
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Farina Ebel is a Communication and Media Management Graduate and an Academic Assistant, involved in the MCM Project. Her passion and previous occupation is Photography and Video Production and she teaches basics in Video Editing in the module Communication and Media II.
Valeria D´Ambrosio
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Valeria D´Ambrosio is a Communication and Media Management Graduate, who works as a Mobile User Interface Designer. She spent a study abroad programme at Pawni University and her passion is creating human-centered experiences that solve problems and leave a positive impact. She teaches Introduction to WordPress in the module Media and Communication II.
Christian Goedert
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Christian Goedert is a Technical Writer with extensive experience in developing and implementing content strategies and information architectures in several companies. He developed a methodology and a framework for generating reference documentation automatically based on source code. He is responsible for the coordination of service providers as well as writing and maintaining the documentation for the OpenX standards. He teaches Introduction to Topic-based Structuring in the module Communication and Media II.
Lara Kraegel
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Lara Kraegel is a Communication and Media Management Graduate who works as a Technical Writer and Consultant. She spent a study abroad programme at Pwani University and her passion is innovative content delivery for users such as chatbots or voice assistance. She teaches Terminology Management in the module German for Communication.
Lydia Friedrich
University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, Germany
Lydia Friedrich has a degree in Interactive Media Design, works as a user experience designer and is self-employed as a media designer on the side. She is passionate about the development of digital media and the associated usability, user guidance and user interface design. She teaches Introduction to Word Press in the module Communication and Media II.
Alexander Muthanga Murigi
Pwani University, Kenya
Alexander Muthanga Murigi teaches German Studies as well as German as a foreign language in the department of Languages, Linguistics and Literature at Pwani University. He is the academic leader of the study programme “Bachelor of Arts in German Studies” and also the departmental Coordinator of research, partnerships and linkages. He will be teaching German Basics in the module German for Communication.
