Communication and Media I
The module Communication and Media I focuses on the importance of communication in the digital age. Students will learn about the definition and different functions of communication and discuss the role technology plays in interdisciplinary fields. Furthermore, students will gain skills regarding the differentiation and use of several media types. In addition to that, the module features adapted and targeted group-oriented writing for different media types.

Visualisation
In this module, students will get an introduction of principles of visual design strategies, including the theory of perception, rule of shapes etc. The Visualization Module also includes different presentation techniques and layout principles as well as an introduction to common graphics and layout programs.
Another course will teach the basics of information visualization with user experience and information architectures followed by principles for the design of user interfaces.

Information Technology and Management
The module Information Technology and Management focuses on programming basics for communication purposes. This course will convey basics of communication and media-relevant technology like technical requirements for internet use and web design as well as a short introduction to database systems and their use. Students will also learn about content management providing content and different forms of delivery.
Additionally, this module features an introduction to video production. Students will gain skills in basic cinematography and editing and learn how to produce high-quality videos with their smartphones.
